A new company, S.P.A.T.S., holds auditions for its first show, Les Miserables, Monday, March 9, and Wednesday, March 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Adams Memorial Opera House in Derry. It’s for actors between ages 13 and 21 (because School Edition rights were available).

Planned 2009 scripts include an adaptation of Don Quixote; an exploration of the events surrounding Orson Wells’ 1938 broadcasting of War of the Worlds; and a new musical rendition of Phantom of the Opera. Those seeking to produce during the 2009-2010 season get two minutes to make a pitch for his/her show, first-come, first-served. Bring three copies of the script.
